Description
Pronounced El Chit-Cha-Rello, this a stunning white wine from the Penedes region, just an hour south of Barcelona. The grape is Xarello, which is one of the key grapes in the production of Cava, but it’s proving to be a star single varietal wine in its own right. Delicate citrus and stone fruit character coupled with fresh acidity are complemented by a lovely texture from a period of ageing on its lees. Super silky and refreshing, this is a great match for soft cheeses and shellfish.
The producer describes this wine as ‘insultingly delicious!’ which explains the Catalan insults decorating the bottle!
