Description

A vibrant and citrussy Orange wine from Olivier Cazenave. The Sémillon grapes come from an excellent vineyard plot situated in Entre Deux Mers. Following two weeks’ skin contact to extract the colour, the wine is run off into a separate tank where it can settle for a period of around 6 months. Before bottling, a dash of Sauvignon Blanc is added to enhance the freshness and acidity.

No sulphites are added during the harvesting process and, if conditions allow, during the winemaking process.

Having worked in export sales for a number of negociants, in 1998 he became co-founder and the buyer at ChateauOnline, one of the first e-commerce websites in the wine business. In 2003 he and Anne were married and decided they wanted their own vineyards, as he says: “you would have had to be crazy to buy a property in Bordeaux in 2003” … but that they did.
