Description
More famous for its bold reds, the historic appellation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape produces some outstanding white wines. The beautiful Chante Cigale vineyards are located in the heart of the appellation with typical stony soil of “galets roulés” (rolled pebbles).
The Chante Cigale is a stunning blend of Roussanne 20% , Grenache Blanc 20% and Bourboulenc 20%. Lees ageing adds a little texture, but the wine is aromatic and fresh with notes of white peach and poached pairs with a lovely streak of acidity on the finish.
