Description
Franciacorta is a small Italian region in the north of Italy which produces premium quality sparkling wine made in the traditional (Champagne) method. It’s so popular in its homeland that the Italians keep most of it for themselves, but they do let us have a little bit! We’re delighted to have three sparkling wines in the range from Ferghettina, the Brut, the Milledi and the Rosé.
The Milledi has spent over 1000 days (milledi!) ageing on its lees, creating wonderful texture and complexity. The nose is fresh and elegant with white flower and citrus notes. The palate is complex with brioche, citrus and apple fruit characters giving a lovely weight and texture. Did we mention the presentation in a stunning square based bottle?
