Wow, this is an absolute beauty! Warwick Estate planted this vineyard in 1978, so we’ve got some incredible old vine Chenin here. When a vine ages, it produces less but the quality of the fruit improves in the lower yields, with greater concentration of flavours and aromatic profile. Delicious aromas of peach, apple, stone fruits and dried herbs are followed by a juicy, mineral rich finish. Ageing in large French oak barrels also brings a soft roundness to the wine. Try with a large bowl of fresh lemon butter Calamari.
