Casarena’s Lauren Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Franc from a single vineyard. Award-winning winemakers, Bernardo Bossi Bonilla and Alejandro Sejanovich selected this parcel for low yields and outstanding quality in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina.
The grapes go through a double manual selection of clusters and grapes. After careful destemming, the fruit undergoes cold fermentation. To ensure maximum aromatic expression, natural fermentation begins at low temperatures. Once in the barrel the wine undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation and is clarified naturally.
With a careful and delicate vinification process and the viticulture on clay soils, the result is a delicate wine with a strong structure and very intense black fruit flavours. Subtly powerful.
